After Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa suffered another concussion, a special replacement is being brought into play.
In the Thursday Night Game of the second NFL week, Dolphins playmaker Tua Tagovailoa suffered another concussion and was unable to continue. There is great concern for the 26-year-old, with fans and former players suggesting that he should end his career immediately.
Some have already come up with a possible alternative – and it is more than just a name. Delvin Hodges, former quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers, wrote on “X”: “Tom Brady to the Miami Dolphins. You heard it here first.”
Darius Butler, who was Brady’s pass receiver for two years with the New England Patriots, went one step further. He posted a picture of the seven-time Super Bowl winner in a Dolphins jersey. He also wrote that Miami is “beautiful” at this time of year.
But would a comeback even be an option for the now 47-year-old Brady? In April, he stated in an interview that he would “not be against it” if a team needed him due to an injury to the starting quarterback.
“I’ll always be in good shape and I’ll always be able to throw the ball. I don’t know if they would let me, but I wouldn’t mind.”
However, a comeback is not particularly likely, as Brady only began his engagement as a TV pundit for the US channel “Fox” last week.
