NFL Scouting Combine 2025: players for talent test have been announced – surprise about Travis Hunter

After the Super Bowl, the next event is already waiting, because the new NFL season is on its way. The participants in the Scouting Combine have been determined.

For those who feel the Super Bowl blues after the NFL final, we say: Yes, it will take a while before September. But it’s not like nothing is happening around the NFL.

Free agency starts in March, and the draft will take place in April. The draft, which will take place in Green Bay from April 24 to 26, is already on the horizon.

From February 24 to March 3, numerous talented prospects will traditionally be able to show themselves at the Scouting Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Exactly 329 aspiring NFL professionals have been officially invited by the league to demonstrate their skills under the watchful eye of NFL scouts.

Interestingly, Heisman winner Travis Hunter is listed as a defensive back. He was a cornerback in college, but also played as a wide receiver. Running back Ashton Jeanty, who came in second in the Heisman vote, is also taking part. The top prospects among the quarterbacks, such as Cam Ward, Shedeur Sanders or Dillon Gabriel, will be there.

However, Shedeur Sanders’ brother Shilo will not be there. The 25-year-old safety played 19 games for the Colorado Buffaloes in two seasons, recording a total of 122 tackles, one interception and one sack.

This is how the scouting combine works

In addition to physical tests, the combine also includes medical and psychological examinations. The teams can also interview the players.

The so-called drills include, among other things, a 40-yard sprint, shuttle runs of 20 and 60 yards, long and high jump from a standing position, the three-cone drill and the bench press. Position-specific exercises complement the tests.

This allows teams to get a more accurate picture of the players they want to select in the draft. This year, the Tennessee Titans have the number one pick, followed by the Cleveland Browns, the New York Giants, the New England Patriots and the Jacksonville Jaguars.
