Of the quarterbacks from the 2018 draft class, Sam Darnold is now the first to reach the Super Bowl.
The 2018 draft class produced some of the best quarterbacks of the present day.
Baker Mayfield (number 1), Sam Darnold (3), Josh Allen (7), Josh Rosen (10), and Lamar Jackson (32) were selected in the first round.
Except for Rosen, who was unable to establish himself, all of the quarterbacks went on to have successful careers in the NFL.
However, Darnold is the first of them to reach the Super Bowl. After defeating the Los Angeles Rams with his Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Championship Game, he will face the New England Patriots in the NFL final on February 8.
His career has been anything but straightforward so far. After being drafted by the New York Jets in 2018, he changed teams frequently.
The Seahawks, for whom he has only been playing since this season, are already his fifth franchise in the NFL.
NFL: Jackson and Allen still lack a major triumph with their teams
Jackson and Allen are franchise quarterbacks for the Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills, respectively, and have already won MVP awards.
However, neither of them has played in the Super Bowl. As of this Sunday, Darnold has the edge over them in that regard.
