The NFL is in mourning for Tarvaris Jackson. The former quarterback died in a car accident on Sunday according to media reports. He was only 36 years old.
Jackson was named 64th in the second round of the 2006 draft by the Minnesota Vikings. In his ten seasons in the NFL, he played for the Vikings (2006 to 2010), Seattle Seahawks (2011 and 2013 to 2015) and the Buffalo Bills (2012).

He was mainly the backup during this time, winning the Super Bowl with the Hawks as Russell Wilson’s replacement in the 2013 season.

Wilson posted on Twitter on Monday, saying, “TJack, we’re gonna miss you. I pray for your family. Love you, man.”
In Seattle, Jackson had his most productive NFL year before the Wilson era: 2011 he threw in 15 games for 3091 yards and 14 touchdowns as a starter.
In 2018, Jackson went under the coaches, started as a quarterback coach at Alabama State, before moving to Tennessee State University in 2019, where he also took care of the quarterbacks.
