NFL: Less than 50 percent! Indianapolis Colts and Washington football team are vaccination muffle

The NFL teams get relief if at least 85 percent of their players are vaccinated. But for two teams, pro players’ willingness appears to be anything but.

The new NFL season starts in just a few weeks. How it will look then in terms of Corona restrictions for the individual teams depends on the vaccination rate of the players.

In the best football league in the world, however, there are currently still two teams where the majority of players show no interest in being vaccinated against the virus.

Football team and Colts not very vaccinated

According to the Associated Press, not even 50 percent of the players of the Indianapolis Colts and the Washington Football Team have been vaccinated, although vaccine has been available in large quantities in the USA for a long time.

The last update on the vaccination rate included the Los Angeles Chargers and the Arizona Cardinals among the teams with less than 50 per cent vaccinated players – but both franchises have now passed the mark.

In the NFL, players are not obliged to be vaccinated. However, greater restrictions apply to unvaccinated professionals. For example, they have to wear masks in more areas and be tested daily – this does not apply to vaccinated athletes.

A high quota would also be important for the teams themselves. Because if at least 85 per cent of a franchise’s players are vaccinated, the team gets fewer restrictions on its own training grounds. In the meantime, eight teams have already exceeded this mark.
