Aaron Rodgers and J.K. Dobbins have suffered the same fate: Both offensive stars tore their Achilles tendons in Week 1. Since then, Rodgers and Dobbins have been rehabbing together and working toward a comeback. During a Rodgers interview, the 24-year-old running back made for a funny scene.

Dobbins, who is signed with the Baltimore Ravens, interrupted the four-time MVP during his appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show. “

You’re not working! […] I’m here struggling – then I see him on TV talking on his mobile phone,” the Ravens star wryly protested.

Rodgers had torn his Achilles tendon in his regular-season debut for the New York Jets after just four snaps, while Dobbins suffered the same injury in the Ravens’ season opener. The two thus found each other because of their shared fate, and have been tackling rehabilitation together ever since.

“He had the same surgery as me and we spur each other on. […] He’s a super kid who’s had a couple of bad injuries in the last few years. He’s a fantastic player,” Rodgers told “The Pat McAfee Show” about his fellow sufferer.

Aaron Rodgers is apparently still holding on to hopes of making his comeback this season. While that’s highly unlikely, it’s not completely impossible. For a running back like J.K. Dobbins, on the other hand, the possibility of a return before next season is certainly out of the question. “His schedule is probably not the same as mine, he plays a different position” Rodgers commented.
