Urban Meyer is history with the Jacksonville Jaguars. But his daughter Gigi once again provides a furious ending with confused Instagram posts. Father Urban, on the other hand, is taking a softer tone in his comments.
Munich – The dismissal of scandalous coach Urban Meyer at the Jacksonville Jaguars was not met with understanding everywhere.
Meyer’s daughter Gigi took to her Instagram story on Thursday to launch an all-out attack against critics and the media.
Former Jags HC Urban Meyer’s daughter, Gigi, is defending Urban on Instagram:
“Anyone who truly knows us knows how incredible he is as a person.” pic.twitter.com/yR078CerBP

Daughter Gigi Meyer jumps to father Urban’s side
“The spirit of the enemy is in full battle mode in this world and in people,” she wrote. “It is war. But we all know who wins in the end,” she wrote, garnished with prayer and cross emojis.
Gigi Meyer’s comments then got even weirder: “The enemy (aka the world) REALLY doesn’t want good people to win…. You can argue whether my dad is a ‘good person’ or not based on what you see in the media (a super reliable source of information, as we know). Anyone who really knows us knows how incredible he is as a person.”
But that’s not it. “The world hates every platform we have, so he will create chaos to destroy it. He doesn’t know he’s making it stronger, but it’s not over yet. You will see,” said Gigi Meyer.
Urban Meyer apologizes to Jacksonville
Urban Meyer, for his part, spoke out publicly for the first time since his dismissal on Saturday – and apologised to Jacksonville.
“I just want to apologize to Jacksonville,” Meyer told NFL.com. “I love Jacksonville. It’s one of the reasons I took the job. I still think Shad (Shahid Khan; ed.) is a great owner. It’s heartbreaking. I’ve dreamed of Jacksonville becoming an attractive destination, with the new stadium that will one day be standing-room-only. I know how much the people of Jacksonville want that. I’m just heartbroken that it didn’t work out. “
