On the occasion of the NFL games in Frankfurt, Commissioner Roger Goodell has signed the city’s Golden Book
The NFL has already written itself into the history books in Frankfurt – in the form of Commissioner Roger Goodell. In the run-up to the game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Miami Dolphins, the NFL boss signed the city’s Golden Book.
“The NFL games mark a completely new highlight in the history of American football in Frankfurt”, said Frankfurt’s Lord Mayor Mike Josef. On November 12, the Indianapolis Colts will also meet the New England Patriots in Frankfurt.
“It is a great honor for me and I am very happy to sign the Golden Book of the City of Frankfurt today on behalf of all players, coaches and owners of our 32 teams. American football has a proud history in Germany and especially in Frankfurt,” Goodell said at the ceremony.
“We are grateful for the great cooperation with the city, the stadium and Eintracht Frankfurt over the past two years and look forward to great NFL football in Frankfurt in the future, starting with the games on the next two weekends,” Goodell continued.
