The HBO series “Hard Knocks” will no longer focus on just one team in the upcoming NFL season. Instead, the in-season edition will focus on an entire division for the first time.
The NFL will significantly change the HBO series Hard Knocks in the 2024/25 season.
NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reports that NFL Chief Media and Business Officer Brian Rolapp said Tuesday that the series will focus on an entire division instead of a single team.
Rolapp added that the NFL has not yet decided which of its eight divisions will be highlighted in the docu-series. The popular series “Hard Knocks” first aired in 2001, initially focusing on teams during training camps. This changed in 2021.
Since 2021, there has been a preseason edition of “Hard Knocks” and an in-season edition. In 2021, the Indianapolis Colts were the subject of the first seasonal series, followed by the Arizona Cardinals in 2022 and the Miami Dolphins in 2023.
It will be interesting to see which division the NFL chooses.
It can be assumed that a balanced division will be selected in order to maintain the tension within the series. A close race for the playoffs is essential
