The hosting of an NFL game in Germany is getting closer and closer: The league has now announced three candidates for a possible game of the best football league in the world.

Cologne – The decision for an NFL game in Germany is getting closer. A shortlist of the three possible venues was published on Tuesday.

Frankfurt, Munich and Düsseldorf made it into the decisive round of bids. From 2022, at the latest from 2023, a regular season game is to take place on German soil for the first time. The decision on the host will be made in December.

The NFL has reportedly committed to continuing to award several games a year to London, where the New York Jets faced the Atlanta Falcons (20-27) at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday.

NFL: One game in Mexico and one game in Germany

This coming Sunday, the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Miami Dolphins will duel there. One of the future games outside the USA is to take place in Mexico City, another in Germany

Each team is scheduled to play at least one game outside the USA within eight years. Since 2007, 29 matches have been played in London and three in Mexico.
