Shedeur Sanders is considered a top prospect in the upcoming draft. However, he will probably not actively participate in the field at the Scouting Combine.
In the upcoming NFL Draft, quarterback Shedeur Sanders is considered a potential number one pick.
However, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the son of football legend Deion Sanders will not actively participate in the upcoming scouting combine.
Although Sanders will be present in Indianapolis and conduct interviews with interested teams, he will not take part in the athletic tests and drills.
Instead, Sanders apparently wants to prove his abilities to NFL scouts, coaches and GMs at the Pro Day of his college team, the Colorado Buffaloes.
It is not unusual for a talented quarterback not to throw passes at the NFL Scouting Combine. Last year, the top three quarterbacks in the draft, Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels and Drake Maye, also opted out of participating in the Combine drills.
Sanders had only just begun to set up his schedule for team visits ahead of the draft.
In a video posted to his brother’s Well Off Media account, the player was seen discussing his plans for team facility visits.
Sanders explained that he would be a guest at two franchises. “I have the Browns and then the Giants. Those are the only two right now,” said the 23-year-old.
The Cleveland Browns can select in the talent draft at position two, the New York Giants one place behind. The number 1 pick, in turn, is with the Tennessee Titans, who are also considered a potential landing spot for a quarterback.
