A woman had accused Dak Prescott of sexually abusing her in 2017. She has now suffered a defeat in court
Another victory for Dak Prescott: A judge in Texas has dismissed all civil claims against him for alleged sexual abuse.
Instead, the plaintiff is now facing trouble as the judge scheduled a hearing for September 13 to determine what sanctions should be taken against her and her legal team.
“The plaintiff and her team’s original lies and their latest failed attempt to sue him civilly are all just a continuation of their extortion scheme against Dak,” Precott’s attorney, Levi G. McCathern, told WFAA. “These machinations are a distraction from the trauma of sexual assault survivors and undermine the progress our society has made in supporting them.”
Prescott allegedly sexually assaulted a woman in 2017. The accuser demanded 100 million US dollars to waive prosecution.
Prescott, for his part, filed a counterclaim some time ago, claiming that he was being blackmailed by the woman. According to his statement, the crime he is accused of never took place.
In May, the police in Dallas declared that they would not press sexual assault charges against Prescott after failing to find sufficient evidence. Back in April, the accuser’s attorneys dropped the Dallas County case and tried a similar case in Collin County.
