The Dallas Cowboys finally want to hit the big time this season after many good years where the big success failed to materialise. Quarterback Dak Prescott believes in the potential of his team.
At long last, Dallas is going to hit the big time. If Dak Prescott has his way, the time is now indeed ripe.
The quarterback believes the Cowboys’ offence in particular is improving tremendously and that his team has plenty of playmakers in its ranks. “Yes we have a lot of speed with us. You can name a lot of names. But not just speed, but playmakers at the same time,” Prescott said of the offence in an interview with the club’s own website.
The most prominent addition to the team is wide receiver Brandin Cooks, who came from the Texans. Along with CeeDee Lamb and Michael Gallup, the three receivers will look to pose problems for opposing defenses. Last year’s rookie KaVontae Turpin has also shown potential.
Pollard: Number one after Elliott departure
The Texans also have a strong running back position – despite the departure of Ezekiel Elliott to the New England Patriots. The number one back in the backfield will be Tony Pollard, who had a strong last season. Rookie Deuce Vaughn also seems to have the potential to cause problems for opposing defenses.
The potential is undoubtedly there in Dallas. However, that has often been the case in recent years. But it never went further than the Divisional Round. This year, however, they have playmakers on defence in Trevon Diggs and Micah Parsons.
Maybe the “Americas Team” will finally hit the big time.
