The NFL can agree with the Internet giant Google on a billion-dollar deal over many years. The deal struck also affects the value of individual teams
The NFL has bagged the next billion-dollar deal shortly before Christmas.
In a statement, the best football league in the world announced an agreement with Google. From 2023, the internet giant will distribute the NFL Sunday Ticket exclusively via YouTube TV and YouTube Primetime Channels.
While no figures have been officially confirmed, the deal is expected to generate two billion US dollars a year for the league – for seven years – according to “CNBC”.
“We are excited to bring NFL Sunday Ticket to YouTube TV and YouTube Primetime Channels, ushering in a new era for fans in the U.S. who want to watch and follow the NFL,” Commissioner Roger Goodell announced of the desire to bring the games to even more followers.

But what exactly is the NFL Sunday Ticket? It allows US fans to watch all games on the broadcasting channels “FOX” and “CBS” during the Regular Season
The NFL has been working with Google since 2015, and after Amazon Prime Video – which bought the Thursday Night Game for eleven years – this is the next deal with a streaming or internet service.
By the way, the next billion-dollar deal also boosts the value of the individual teams. According to “Forbes”, Daniel Snyder, who will sell the Washington Commanders, received unprecedented offers.
While the Denver Broncos were sold for 4.65 billion dollars only a few months ago, the offers for the Commanders are “well over” seven billion. Amazon boss Jeff Bezos, among others, is said to have made such a bid.
