After the injury of quarterback Aaron Rodgers with the New York Jets, the rumours about a return of Tom Brady do not stop. On his own podcast, he won’t comment on the issue. And yet somehow does.
Tom Brady has not played for an NFL team since the current season.
The most successful quarterback in league history ended his career at the end of last season.
Nevertheless, rumours about a comeback of the 46-year-old keep circulating.
Not least because of Aaron Rodgers’ injury with the New York Jets. Head coach Robert Saleh’s team had big goals before the season, which have become a distant memory due to the injury to their passer.
On his “Let’s Go!” podcast, which he co-hosts with former receiver Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray, Brady said when asked if he had received a call from the Jets and if he could imagine a comeback, “Next question. You guys know the answer. I love sitting here with you guys on Monday.”
At least not a clear no.
Jets could use Brady’s help
The Jets, meanwhile, should be desperate for more quarterback options. Backup Zach Wilson was unconvincing against the Dallas Cowboys, completing less than half of his passes for 170 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions.
In his illustrated NFL career, Tom Brady has 89,214 passing yards, 649 touchdowns and 212 interceptions.
He won a total of seven Super Bowls with the New England Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
