NFL: Chase Claypool gives deep insight into career setback – comeback after overcoming injury?

Former NFL star Chase Claypool has given deep insights into his rapid decline in the NFL. Now the wide receiver wants to make a comeback.

At the beginning of his career, Chase Claypool was considered one of the up-and-coming talents in his position. In his first two NFL seasons, the wide receiver broke the 800-receiving-yard mark, then playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

But as quickly as his star rose, it fell just as fast. A trade to the Chicago Bears and a brief stint with the Miami Dolphins failed to get his career off the ground.

In 2024, he signed with the Buffalo Bills but was released before the start of the season. Since then, the 26-year-old has not been under contract with any team.

CFL inquires about Claypool

In an Instagram post, the wide receiver has now given a deep insight into his past months. Claypool revealed that he suffered a torn ligament in his toe while playing for the Bills.

The healing process took a long time. According to Claypool, the injury has now healed and he feels “stronger and faster than ever.” The wide receiver now wants to get back on the field as soon as possible “to let his actions speak for themselves.”

If his dream of a comeback in the NFL does not come true, Claypool could also move to the CFL, the Canadian football league. The Saskatchewan Roughriders have secured the “right of first refusal” there.
