Bill Belichick is back on the NFL stage at the end of April. He will analyze the draft – together with Pat McAfee.
Bill Belichick is back. And how!
It was foreseeable that the coaching legend would take on a TV job around the NFL after he was unable to secure a head coaching position for 2024.
But nobody expected this: Belichick will analyze the draft for “ESPN” – as a co-host on the Pat McAfee show “Draft Spectacular”.
McAfee and Belichick made the announcement during the show. The often gnarled Belichick appeared very relaxed
“I’m looking forward to it,” Belichick said. “Draft weekend is always an exciting time for everybody – for the teams building their teams, for the fans and for everybody involved, so it’s a great event, and yeah, I’m looking forward to seeing it from the other side. It’s going to be fun to be in Detroit.”
Fans can rejoice because Belichick will be able to provide some background, including trades. The 72-year-old has always been very active in this area.
“I think I can give a little insight into how the conversations will go in those rounds,” he said. “I’ve done a few trades”.
For now, it remains unclear whether Belichick and McAfee will continue to work together after the draft.
Belichick was also reportedly in talks to work with Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions in the new season. The content will also air on “ESPN.”
