Mandatory training and team supervisors: The NFL has announced a number of changes to its betting regulations

After the NFL tightened its gambling regulations last year, further measures were announced this offseason.

According to the Associated Press, all NFL players will be required to take part in a training course from this season. All the rules will be presented to the professionals in detail and the general approach to gambling will be explained.

“The training sessions will be conducted by a member of the NFL compliance team or a former NFL player,” explained an NFL spokesperson.

In addition, each franchise is assigned an NFL “integrity officer” who is responsible for monitoring the team and reporting suspicious activity, reports “Bleacher Report”.

In most cases, the officers are former FBI agents or police officers, and rookies are still required to attend educational seminars. For two NFL rookies, the program was particularly intense this offseason.

Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels and Giants receiver Malik Nabers had to undergo several training sessions after publicly discussing a joint “Rookie of the Year” bet, reports the Washington Post.
