Thanksgiving is one of the biggest holidays of the year in the USA. The NFL is therefore tightening the Corona protocols – not only for unvaccinated players.
Munich – Corona numbers are rising not only in Germany, but also in the United States.
With an important US holiday coming up with Thanksgiving, the NFL has now updated the mandatory Corona protocols for all teams and players.
As reported by the “NFL Network”, players and staff of the franchises, including those vaccinated, are required to wear masks indoors between Thanksgiving on November 25 and December 1.
In addition, players and the entire staff will be tested on the Monday and Wednesday following Thanksgiving weekend. Unvaccinated players will not be allowed to participate in practice until they test negative. Vaccinated professionals, on the other hand, may practice normally unless a positive result is determined.
With COVID cases rising nationwide, the NFL is implementing heightened protocols around Thanksgiving – including mandatory masking and testing all players and staff twice after the holiday – and encouraging clubs to offer testing for visiting friends and family, per sources.

In addition, it is recommended by the league that tests be offered to visiting families of players and staff.
NFL: Teams must install cameras in individual rooms
To verify that protocols are being dutifully followed within team facilities, the NFL is also requiring franchises to install cameras in gyms and cafeterias no later than November 29. The footage would be requested and viewed by the league if needed.
For travel, the NFL requires logs of which seats each team member sat in to better track any infections. Generally, everyone on buses and planes must wear a KN-95 or an N-95 mask.
The NFL warns against breaking the protocols. Otherwise, you could face significant fines.
