Quarterback Matt Ryan will be a pundit for “CBS” in the 2023 season and thus compete with Tom Brady. The announcement is not the end of his NFL career, however, Ryan emphasises.
Matt Ryan will cover NFL games in the 2023 season as an analyst for the “CBS” television network.
“Excited to now be part of the CBS family,” the quarterback wrote on Twitter.
Excited to join the @NFLonCBS family! Looking forward to breaking down the game this season.

While the 37-year-old stressed that the announcement did not mean the end of his NFL career. But it could be the beginning of a second career.
NFL future of Matt Ryan open
Ryan was selected No. 3 overall by the Atlanta Falcons in the first round of the 2008 draft and was traded to the Indianapolis Colts last season. However, the Colts released him after playing time.
It’s unclear what’s next for him. In 2018, he had still signed a five-year contract with the Falcons.
Ryan led the Falcons to the Super Bowl in the 2016 season, but gained sad notoriety there. His team had led 28-3 against the New England Patriots around Tom Brady before losing 28-34 in overtime. To this day, no team has ever given up a bigger lead in a Super Bowl.
In a way, the paths of Brady and Ryan will cross again in the coming season. For Brady had signed a contract with “FOX Sports”, the competitor of “CBS”, after the end of his career.
The ten-year contract is expected to pay the superstar a total of 375 million dollars.
