Munich – The rampage at a high school in Michigan has shocked the entire USA.

A 15-year-old killed four students at Oxford High School with his father’s gun and also injured six other students and a teacher. The crime also affected the stars of the NFL.

Kirk Cousins, the Minnesota Vikings quarterback, wore a shirt from the Oxford Wildcats, the high school’s football team, during warm-ups before the game against the Detroit Lions.

Jalen Elliott, safety for the Detroit Lions, wore a jersey with the number 42 from Tate Myre.

The 16-year-old Myre was a big football talent from the Oxford Wildcats and was also among the fatalities. The running back reportedly was still trying to disarm the gunman who killed him.

His coach Ross Wingert told the Detroit Free Press, “I’m told everybody was running in the same direction, only Tate was running in the other direction.”

While police say there is no evidence of this. Nevertheless, a petition is underway for the Oxford Wildcats’ home ground to be renamed “Tate Myre Stadium”. This petition has already collected around 250,000 signatures.
