Could star center Jason Kelce retire soon? The 35-year-old from the Philadelphia Eagles makes some telling comments about his future
Jason Kelce has only been planning from season to season for a few years now. Quite understandable at the proud NFL age of 35, but he is still one of the best players at his position.
Nevertheless, the player of the Philadelphia Eagles himself again fires the retirement rumors. On “NFL Report,” Kelce said, “It could all be over soon. This could be my last season, too.”
However, it wouldn’t be the first time Kelce has talked about retirement and then added another season to it. There’s been too much love for football so far.
Kelce: It’s getting harder to stay healthy
He said in the documentary “Kelce” that it’s getting harder for him to stay healthy.
The veteran is on a one-year deal and, accordingly, would have to come to another agreement with the Eagles on a contract extension, presumably for one year again.
Kelce was drafted by the Eagles in 2011 and has not played for any other team in the NFL. He has been selected to the Pro Bowl six times and First Team All-Pro five times. He has not missed a game since 2014.
