Jalen Carter sued for tens of millions of dollars for accident resulting in death

Defensive tackle Jalen Carter continues to face legal action. The Philadelphia Eagles draft pick was involved in a fatality accident during his college days at Georgia. Now the victim’s father is suing him for tens of millions of dollars in damages.

It was January 15, 2023, when defensive tackle and potential number one pick in the draft Jalen Carter was involved in a fatal car accident.

The accident killed three people, including Carter’s teammate on the Georgia Bulldogs, Devin Willock Junior.

Having already been criminally fined and sentenced to community service, Carter is now being sued by the father of the offensive lineman who was killed.

Willock Sr. wants $10 million

Devin Willock Sr. is suing the defensive ace for ten million dollars. In his lawsuit, he also accuses the University of Georgia and the car dealership that outfitted Carter with an SUV

In total, he seeks $40 million in the suit, including $30 million in damages.

In addition to Willock Jr, two women in the other car were killed in the spring accident.In addition to Carter, a Bulldogs attendant and former player Warren McClendon were injured. He was drafted ninth overall by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2023 NFL Draft.
