Ex-Steelers quarterback Dwayne Haskins heavily intoxicated in fatal accident

Dwayne Haskins was heavily intoxicated when he died, a medical examination reveals. Other substances are also found in his blood.

Munich – Dwayne Haskins was heavily intoxicated when he died in his fatal accident.

This was the result of the toxicological examination of Broward County (Florida). According to this, Haskins had over two per mill alcohol in his blood. However, only 0.8 per mille is permitted in Florida. Ketamine was also found in his blood.

Haskins had been killed in a car accident on 9 April. The investigation also revealed that Haskins died due to his injuries from the accident. He was in Florida to train with some Pittsburgh Steelers teammates.

The 24-year-old was considered a major quarterback talent in the league and was most recently under contract with the Steelers. In 2019, he was selected by the Washington Commanders in the first round of the NFL Draft at No. 15 overall.
