Cornerback Ahmad Gardner has excelled so much in college that even NFL superstar Jalen Ramsey occasionally picks up tips from him.

Munich – Ahmad Gardner is considered the best cornerback available ahead of the 2022 NFL Draft. The Cincinnati Bearcats pass defender never allowed a touchdown in direct coverage during his college career.

Gardner seems so good that even NFL superstar Jalen Ramsey of the Los Angeles Rams occasionally picks up tips from him. “I really talk to him regularly and try to give him some tips sometimes because even though he’s the best in the game, I still think; `What? He doesn’t notice that little thing?` So I try to give my two cents as often as I can,” he revealed in an interview with the USA Today Network and Crunchtime.

“He doesn’t have to act like he knows everything, he’s willing to accept everything and say, `Yeah, all right, I get it.` That’s why I like him as a person, not just as a player.”

Gardner is confident he can function immediately in the NFL as well. Asked what makes him different from the rest of the cornerbacks in the draft, he replies, “It starts with the fact that I played in Cincinnati. We had so much outside noise that I learned to tune it all out, and that carried over to the CB debate. I don’t pay too much attention to it. I focus on myself.”
