Baltimore Ravens outclass Los Angeles Chargers, Green Bay Packers defeat Chicago Bears

The Baltimore Ravens clearly prevail against the surprisingly weak Los Angeles Chargers. The Cincinnati Bengals have similarly little trouble with the Detroit Lions. NFL News summarises the 7 p.m. games.

Los Angeles Chargers at Baltimore Ravens 6:34

The Baltimore Ravens have come through with a commanding victory over the Los Angeles Chargers. Quarterback Lamar Jackson threw two interceptions but still led his team to victory with 167 passing yards and 51 rushing yards.

The Ravens completed their first drive with a touchdown run by Latavius Murray. The next attack was also successful. This time Le’Veon Bell got into the end zone and scored his first touchdown for the Ravens.

Only after quarterback Lamar Jackson threw an interception, giving the Chargers good field position, did Justin Herbert (195 YDS, 1 INT) throw his only touchdown pass into the arms of Jared Cook. The Ravens went into the break with a 17-6 lead.

When Baltimore extended their lead to 24:6 at the beginning of the third quarter, this time Jackson served his tight end Jared Cook, it was like a preliminary decision. As the game progressed, Devonta Freeman also found his way into the end zone once more.

The Ravens are now at five wins and only one loss. The Chargers have a 4-2 record.

Cincinnati Bengals at Detroit Lions 34:11

The Detroit Lions remain the NFL’s only winless team after six games. Quarterback Jared Goff was still practically the bright spot for his team with 202 passing yards, but remained without a touchdown pass and threw an interception. The running game was virtually non-existent with a total of 36 yards.

Joe Burrow, the quarterback of the Cincinnati Bengals, on the other hand, proved once again why he was the number 1 pick of 2020. His record: 271 passing yards and three touchdown passes with one interception. Ja’Marr Chase was once again his favourite receiving station with 97 receiving yards. The Bengals improved their record to four wins and two losses.

Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears 24-14

The Green Bay Packers have won the divisional duel against the Chicago Bears. This was their fifth win in a row after losing their opener. The Bears, on the other hand, have a 3-3 record.

Aaron Rodgers completed 17 of his 23 passes for 195 yards and two touchdowns and also ran into the end zone once. The key player on defence was Kenny Clark with two sacks and two tackles for loss.

Bitter for German wide receiver Equanimeous St. Brown: He caught what was supposed to be a touchdown pass but was disallowed for pass interference. This would otherwise have been the second touchdown of his career.

Justin Fields, the Bears’ rookie quarterback, recorded 174 passing yards, one touchdown pass and one interception.

Los Angeles Rams at New York Giants 38:11

The Los Angeles Rams had little trouble with the New York Giants. Quarterback Matthew Stafford once again underlined his quality with 251 passing yards and four touchdown passes. Wide receiver Cooper Kupp was virtually unstoppable with 130 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

The Giants relied heavily on their passing game. Quarterback Daniel Jones fired 51 pass attempts, completing 29 passes for 242 yards, but threw three interceptions and went without a touchdown pass.

While the Rams are on course for a playoff berth with a 5-1 record, the Giants have probably said goodbye to their dream with only one win in six games.

Houston Texans at Indianapolis Colts 3:31

The Indianapolis Colts celebrated their second win in the sixth game against the Houston Texans. The man of the match was running back Jonathan Taylor, who gained a total of 158 yards and two touchdowns. Quarterback Carson Wentz also had a good game. He completed only 11 of his 20 passes, but had 223 passing yards and two touchdowns.

Davis Mills, Houston’s backup quarterback, threw for an impressive 243 yards. However, he also made two interceptions. This was the Texans’ fifth loss in a row after their opening win.

Minnesota Vikings at Carolina Panthers 34:28 after Overtime

The game between the Minnesota Vikings and the Carolina Panthers went into overtime after Vikings kicker Greg Joseph missed a 47-yard field goal attempt on the final play of regulation time, leaving them with a chance to win.

But Minnesota got the ball first in overtime and completed the drive with a touchdown pass from Kirk Cousins to K.J. Osborn. Cousins had a strong game with 373 passing yards and three touchdown passes. The same applies to Dalvin Cook, who ran for 140 yards and a touchdown.

Sam Darnold, Carolina’s quarterback, threw for 207 yards, a touchdown and an interception. Both teams now stand at a 3-3 record. This was now the third straight loss for the Panthers, who started the season so strong.
