Antonio Brown was repeatedly linked to rumours of making a comeback in the NFL. The former wide receiver nipped those in the bud himself on the sidelines of a fan-controlled football game.
Munich – The last time on the football field, Antonio Brown was seen running topless towards the locker room. His last victory in the NFL to date.
Since then there has been speculation about a return. Floyd Mayweather even acted as his “lawyer” and promised 10 million dollars to the team that gave AB a chance if the wide receiver did not play a season without scandal.
In the course of an interview at a fan-controlled football game, Brown himself now said he was done with the NFL.
“Obviously, we live the game, but you can’t play it forever. I think I’m a great player who’s accomplished everything in the league. “
When asked by reporter Charly Arnolt if he will suit up in the NFL in 2022, Brown clearly replied, “Nah. You’re fooling yourself if you think I’m going to play.”
Clear words from the free agent, who tweeted earlier this month about possibly making a comeback to the Steelers. But they also seem to confirm that apparently none of the 32 teams have serious interest in the 33-year-old.
