The XFL continues to stock up for the upcoming season. Former NFL head coach Gregg Williams is one of a number of new additions to the league’s coaching staff, which will try again in 2023
Munich – Longtime defensive coordinator and head coach Gregg Williams will be on the sidelines in the XFL in the future.
The former coach of the Buffalo Bills and Cleveland Browns, among others, heads the list of new assistant coaches, the league announced on its own website.
Although the eight teams in the XFL do not yet have names, each team already has a head coach and someone in charge of player personnel. Offensive and defensive coordinators have now been announced for seven teams. Williams will serve as DC under head coach Reggie Barlow, who was previously head coach at Alabama State and Virginia State.

Other notable names on the new staff include former college head coach and NFL assistant Ron Zook, former quarterback Bruce Gradkowski and longtime defensive coordinator Brian Stewart.
The XFL wants to provide opportunities for players to showcase themselves starting this summer. The regular season of the revamped league is scheduled to begin on February 18, 2023.
