Pass rusher Von Miller of the Buffalo Bills suffered an injury in the Thanksgiving Game against the Detroit Lions and is expected to be out several weeks.
Munich – The Buffalo Bills will likely have to do without veteran Von Miller for the next few games. In the 28:25 win over the Detroit Lions, the pass rusher was injured in the second quarter when Lions centre Frank Ragnow tripped and fell backwards into the 33-year-old’s legs.
The game was over for Miller. According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the first diagnosis was a sprained knee, but more detailed tests are still pending. According to Rapoport, Miller will be out for the time being – the question is for how long.
There is no doubt Von Miller will miss time. The question is how much.
The Wild Card round of the playoffs is a more than a month and a half away. It’s 80 days until the Super Bowl. If the MRI confirms a sprain, his return could come in that window. Important tests coming. https://t.co/H0mvJA8Kcb

Buffalo Bills: Will Von Miller even miss until the NFL playoffs?
Rapoport is betting on a comeback at the start of the playoffs. If this assumption is confirmed, the Bills will have to do without a pillar of the defence for weeks. In eleven games, Miller has eight sacks – the best figure in the entire team.
Buffalo is running out of pass rushers: With Gregory Rousseau and A.J. Epenesa, they were already missing two potential alternatives to Miller in the game against Detroit.
