Luke Knox, brother of Buffalo Bills pro Dawson Knox, has passed away. The linebacker from Florida International University was only 22 years old.
Munich – Sad news for Dawson Knox. The Buffalo Bills tight end has to cope with the death of his brother. Luke Knox of Florida International University (FIU) has passed away at the age of 22. This was announced by the university.
Head Coach Mike MacIntyre is quoted in a statement as saying, “Words cannot express the deep sadness we feel over the passing of our teammate and friend Luke Knox. I admired his passion for football, but his genuine love for his family and teammates will always be remembered. He had a special way of making everyone around him feel comfortable and safe.”
Scott Carr, FIU’s Athletic Director, also commented on Luke Knox’s death via social media, “This is a devastating day for our department, especially our players and coaches. Our thoughts and prayers are with Luke’s family and friends, and he will always be a part of the Panther family. It really hurts.” The linebacker had transferred to Florida in the offseason. He was active for Ole Miss from 2018 to 2021, like his brother.
Cause of death still unknown
Bills head coach Sean McDermott spoke of his player’s courage and promised his support during this difficult time. “Our hearts go out to Dawson and his family at this time. “

What Luke Knox died of is unknown at this time. The FIU did not provide any information on the circumstances of his death.
