Tom Brady says goodbye and thanks
With the headlines “A Patriot forever” and “I love you, Pats Nation” the 42-year-old thanks his long-standing franchise, all players, coaches, staff, coach Bill Belichick, owner Robert Kraft and his family. With Belichick, Brady won a total of six Super Bowls – more than any other quarterback.
And also for the Patriots fans, who supported him for two decades, Brady found words of gratitude as he said goodbye.

Tom Brady’s speech in words
“I want to thank all the incredible fans and Patriots supporters Massachusetts has been my home for 20 years. They were truly the 20 happiest years of my life and I feel nothing but love and gratitude for my time in New England. The support was overwhelming – I wish every player could experience something like that.
My children were born and raised here and you have always treated me, the child from California, as if it were your own. I love your dedication and loyalty to your teams, and winning for our city means so much more to me than you can imagine. I cannot thank you enough for your support.
The well-attended training camps, the sold-out stadiums and most of all the victory parades: I was blessed to share all this with you.
I have always tried to represent us in the best and most honourable way possible, with my teammates I have fought hard to win even in the most hopeless moments.
You opened your heart to me and I opened mine to you. And the Pats Nation will forever be a part of me.
I don’t know what my football future will be, but it’s time for a new stage in my life and career.
I thank you with all my heart and I will always love you and what we shared together – a life full of wonderful memories.”
Quo vadis, Tom Brady?
Where the 42-year-old will head to after his departure from the Patriots is still unclear at the moment. The long-travelled Tennessee Titans and San Francisco 49ers seem to be out of the running.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are considered a possible target, and the Los Angeles Chargers are also expected to be interested.
