Russell Wilson has announced himself that he will be joining the Pittsburgh Steelers
Quarterback Russell Wilson will sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He announced it himself on “X” and posted a clip of the team’s legendary “Renegade video.”
The pass rusher is still a member of the Broncos. They will release him on Wednesday, though. Wilson is expected to sign a contract in Pittsburgh then. He is expected to sign a one-year deal for the league minimum of $1.21 million.

The Broncos still owe him the balance of his fully guaranteed salary of 39 million US dollars.
This is quite a surprising turn of events for the Steelers, who had actually opted for a competitive battle between Kenny Pickett and Mason Rudolph. However, at $1.21 million, Wilson is a real bargain.
Plus, coach Mike Tomlin has a strong affinity for players with ties to Eastern Virginia, like Wilson.
