Safety Earl Thomas of the Baltimore Ravens narrowly escaped death, according to a media report from the USA.

His wife allegedly visited him with a loaded pistol after the couple had split up in a fight.

When asked by the magazine, the Austin Police Department in Texas commented on the incident: “We investigated an African-American female in an orange top with a knife in her hand. Later identified as Nina Thomas, she pursued her husband, later identified as Earl Thomas, who was holding a gun in his hand, around a car,” the police were quoted by “TMZ.

Dispute as a trigger – accusations of fraud are in the air
According to court records, Earl Thomas allegedly left with his brother after a fight with his wife about his drinking habits. When he didn’t come back, his wife is said to have used his “snapchat” account to find out his whereabouts.

When she arrived at that location, she had two other women with her and her husband’s gun “for intimidation”. Arriving at the rented apartment, her companions found Earl Thomas and his brother naked in bed with strange women. Thereupon she pointed the loaded gun at her husband’s head. The police report states that she assumed that the gun was missing the magazine. However, the police stated that the weapon was loaded in a functional manner.

According to the police report, one of the women present is said to have made a video of the incident, which enabled the police to understand the danger of the loaded weapon. Nina Thomas is also said to have pointed the gun at the women with whom her husband had allegedly cheated on her.

Earl Thomas answers before the story is published
When asked by the magazine, Nina Thomas’ lawyer denied any truth of the allegations: “I am here to inform you that my client categorically denies all allegations. We will try to clear my client’s name as quickly as possible,” he said in a statement.

Shortly before the article was published last night, Earl Thomas spoke in a video on Instagram: “My agent told me that I will appear in a report on ‘TMZ’. This is about an incident between me and my wife Nina. It’s nobody’s business, but I want to pre-empt the report. I’m very angry that the story is coming out,” he said in a trembling voice in the statement.

“Instead of talking about us, take us into your prayers. We try to get the best out of our lives, but sometimes things don’t turn out the way you think. We talk and I have been able to see my children,” he continued.

The NFL has not yet issued a statement on the allegations.
