The Jacksonville Jaguars are apparently a big step closer to finding a stadium for 2027.
The Jacksonville Jaguars are still without a stadium for the 2027 NFL season. Because EverBank Stadium is being rebuilt at a cost of more than a billion dollars, the team is still looking for a home ground.
Now a solution is emerging. As reported by several US media outlets, the Jaguars’ games could be played at Camping World Stadium in Orlando.
According to several US media reports, the Orange County Tourism Department has approved spending of at least $10 million to lure the Jaguars to Orlando.
The stadium, with a capacity of just over 61,000 seats, is said to be best suited as the Jaguars’ temporary home ground, mainly because of its infrastructure.
The city of Gainesville is also still hoping to have the team from Jacksonville play in the stadium of the University of Florida on a temporary basis. However, it is only considered to have an outside chance.
A decision on the home venue for the Jaguars for the 2027 season, in which the team will play eight games, is expected this summer.
