NFL: Union with Davante Adams on the Jets? That’s what Aaron Rodgers says

The transfer rumors surrounding Raiders star Davante Adams continue. After the wide receiver, star quarterback Aaron Rodgers has now also spoken out

Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams reunited – not only many fans of the New York Jets want this, but obviously also the quarterback himself.

The 40-year-old was asked about Luke Getsy at a golf tournament. He is the offensive coordinator of the Las Vegas Raiders and used to be an assistant in Green Bay when “A-Rod” played there together with Adams.

“I love Luke Getsy, he’s a fantastic coach,” Rodgers said according to “Vegas Sports Today” – only to go on to talk about his long-time favorite playmaking position in his answer: “And I love Davante. I can’t wait to play with him again.”

When Rodgers was traded to the Jets in 2023, there were already rumors that the franchise could let Adams go from the Raiders. Now the topic is back on the table

When asked on the “Up & Adams” show, the receiver confirmed that Rodgers – with whom he is good friends in his private life – is in his ear about a possible move.

Rodgers wants Adams back

“It’s not that simple – of course we can meet and talk about the old days and the possibility of doing this or that,” the wide receiver explained. However, the 31-year-old is a Raider and Rodgers knows that too.

A switch therefore seems rather unlikely, especially as Adams’ contract in Las Vegas is still valid until 2026. The man with the number 17 already made it clear in April that he was not thinking about a possible departure.

Last season, the wide receiver made 103 receptions for 1,144 receiving yards. Adams also celebrated eight touchdowns – and he will probably continue to do so in a Raiders uniform for the time being.
