NFL receiver Tyler Boyd has once again emphasized that he sees his future with the Pittsburgh Steelers. According to his own statements, he has a good relationship with their head coach Mike Tomlin.
Tyler Boyd has once again spoken out about continuing his career in the NFL. The former wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals and Tennessee Titans would like to play for his hometown team, the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The 30-year-old said this in an interview with “Pittsburgh Sports Now.” “My whole family is here. Most of them would finally be able to support me,” explained Boyd, who would like to stay in the league for another three to four years.
He had already expressed his desire to play for the Steelers before last season. At that time, Boyd signed a one-year contract with the Tennessee Titans instead, where he has 39 catches for 390 yards in 16 games.
Boyd would be a good option for the Steelers
The Pittsburgh native also says he has a good relationship with Steelers coach Mike Tomlin: “I get along well with him. He’s always been a good person and helped me during my time at Pitt.”
Boyd would be a good alternative for the Steelers to have another experienced receiver alongside DK Metcalf for Aaron Rodgers, who has already had several seasons with more than 1,000 yards.
The current free agent racked up four-digit receiving yards in both the 2018 and 2019 seasons. That earned him a new four-year contract worth $43 million at the time.
