Only two teams can face each other in the Super Bowl. However, four teams can win a division. Some teams dominate their region, while others are more evenly matched.

There are many prestigious awards in the NFL. Although there is no world-famous trophy like the Vince Lombardi Trophy for winning the division, there is direct qualification for the playoffs.

But what do the records in the divisions look like? Where is there real dominance? And where do the winners alternate?

Last season, two of the eight divisions had a new winner compared to the previous season.

The NFC West was won by the LA Rams, who replaced the San Francisco 49ers. In the NFC East, the Philadelphia Eagles, who went on to win the Super Bowl, were unbeatable. Before them, it was the Dallas Cowboys who won the divisional title.

Three teams won for the second time in a row and were able to underline their dominance. These were the Detroit Lions in the NFC North, the Houston Texans in the AFC South and the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC North.

Kansas City Chiefs dominate the AFC West

The picture is a little clearer in the NFC South, which the Tampa Bay Buccaneers won for the fourth time in a row, and in the AFC East, where the Buffalo Bills achieved the feat for the fifth time.

However, one team is pulling away from the pack.

The Kansas City Chiefs have not only dominated the Super Bowl with three wins in the last six years, but also leave no doubt about their sporting strength in their division.

They won the AFC West for the ninth time in a row last season with Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce and can complete a decade of dominance with another title.
