The Tennessee Titans will make a change to their home jerseys for the upcoming season and will play in front of their home crowd in a new color scheme.
As the franchise announced, the team will play in a different home jersey color next season: the choice is light blue jerseys, better known as “Titans blue”.
“We talk to and listen to our fans, and there is a clear desire for their team, the Titans, to play in this eye-catching color on the field, which has accompanied this team since 1960 in Houston, Memphis, Vanderbilt and our games at Nissan Stadium,” team president Burke Nihill emphasized on the Titans’ website.
The navy blue jersey set will therefore only be the reserve jersey, while the option of playing in white jerseys will be available for away games.
After moving from Houston in 1997, the franchise initially bore the branding of the Oilers. It was not until 1999 that the Titans adopted their current name and logo. Since their introduction in 2003, the light blue jerseys have alternated with the navy blue versions as the home jerseys, sometimes more, sometimes less.
In addition, the franchise announced that the Houston Oilers throwback jerseys will not be in the 2025 season.
