NFL playoffs – Baltimore Ravens: Derrick Henry on the verge of a special milestone

Ravens running back Derrick Henry can reach a significant milestone in the upcoming playoff game against the Buffalo Bills.

Last week, in the wild-card duel against the Steelers, Ravens running back Derrick Henry made it into the top 10 of the players in NFL history to have run the most yards in the postseason.

This week, he can add another significant career achievement to his name.

Thanks to the 186 yards the 31-year-old put on the scoreboard in the 28-14 win over Pittsburgh, he now has 918 rushing yards in the playoffs in his career, which currently puts him in ninth place historically.

If he gains 82 yards in Monday’s Divisional Round against the Buffalo Bills, he will reach the 1,000-yard rushing mark. This would move him up to seventh place in the all-time list.

Henry can break special record

Only six players have ever rushed for more than 1,000 yards in the postseason: Emmitt Smith (1,586), Franco Harris (1,556), Thurman Thomas (1,442), Tony Dorsett (1,383). Marcus Allen (1,347) and Terrell Davis (1,140).

Henry will need a few more games to break into the top six or even the top five.
