At the 2025 NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers are said to be particularly interested in signing a new quarterback. Jalen Milroe of the Alabama Crimson Tide is considered a hot candidate.
There is much to suggest that the Pittsburgh Steelers will soon come to an agreement with veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
Beyond that, Pittsburgh is likely focusing on the longer-term future at the position. As such, the Steelers are also likely to focus on acquiring a talented quarterback in the upcoming NFL Draft.
As Colin Cowherd from “The Herd” reports, Jalen Milroe from Alabama is said to be a hot candidate. Accordingly, Pittsburgh could draft the quarterback in the first round.
“I spoke to an NFL executive last night who is very well connected. Aaron Rodgers is a good player to keep an eye on. I’m told the Steelers like Jalen Milroe a lot. Twenty-first pick, first round,” Cowherd predicted a possible first-round pick for the Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback.
After having dinner with Milroe around the NFL Combine, the Steelers are now said to have him on the shortlist for the 2025 draft.
At Pro Day, the athletic quarterback impressed with an unofficial 4.37 seconds for 40 yards, among other things.
So it wouldn’t be surprising if the quarterback duo in “Steel City” at the start of the 2025 season were named Rodgers and Milroe.
