Steelers safety DeShon Elliott lashes out at the NFL.
The 28-year-old is furious about a fine imposed on him by the league for misconduct in the game against the Minnesota Vikings in Dublin, which his team won 24-21.
“Count your damn days. You’re worrying about the wrong things. Let’s fix things that actually matter,” Elliott posted on his Instagram Story with a picture of the letter from the league, under which he also tagged the NFL and the NFL Players’ Association.
The defensive star had worn an “unauthorized black towel” during the first regular season game in NFL history held in Ireland a few days ago, according to the letter.

According to NFL Rulebook, Rule 5, Section 4, Article 6, Point (5), towels are allowed on the field of play but must be licensed and approved by the league.
In addition, they must be white.
Elliott can appeal
The league is now asking him to pay up and is imposing a fine of $5,797, which the player can appeal.
If Elliott does not contest the fine, the amount will be deducted from his next paycheck.
The pass defender signed a two-year, $12.5 million contract extension with Pittsburgh in the offseason after impressing with 108 tackles last season.
