For 20 years Tom Brady and Bill Belichick shaped an era together at the New England Patriots. Now the head coach thanks his long-time protégé for the successful time.
Munich – Tom Brady may not have ended his career with the New England Patriots, but the quarterback created the majority of his legacy with the Pats.
Now that he has retired, his longtime coach Bill Belichick has released a statement thanking TB12 for his incredible success with the franchise.
“I am privileged to have drafted and coached Tom Brady, the ultimate competitor and winner,” Belichick said.
“Tom’s humble beginning in professional football ended with him becoming the best player in NFL history. Tom Brady consistently performed at the top of his game, competing against competition that made him the number one player to stop. His pursuit of excellence was inspirational. Tom was a professional both on and off the field with class, integrity and kindness,” the Head Coach elaborated.
Belichick thanks Brady for positive influence
“I thank Tom for his relentless pursuit of excellence and his positive influence on me and the New England Patriots over the past 20 years. “
The duo reached the Super Bowl together nine times, with six games ending in the title. The playmaker won his seventh Super Bowl last year in the jersey of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
After the defeat in the Divisional Round against the L.A. Rams, the signal caller has now ended his career.
