NFL – Patrick Mahomes not enough for Kansas City Chiefs – Joe Burrow leads Cincinnati Bengals to victory

The Kansas City Chiefs lost to the Dallas Cowboys despite a stellar performance by Patrick Mahomes. The Cincinnati Bengals, on the other hand, defeated the Baltimore Ravens in Joe Burrow’s comeback.

Twelfth game, sixth defeat for the Kansas City Chiefs: KC lost 28-31 to the Dallas Cowboys and must continue to worry about making the playoffs.

Patrick Mahomes actually delivered a flawless performance: 23 of his 34 passes were completed, earning him 261 yards and four touchdowns with a passer rating of 129.7. He also added 30 rushing yards.

The best receiver was Rashee Rice with 92 yards and two touchdowns, while Travis Kelce and Marquise Brown each caught one touchdown. Kareem Hunt’s 58 rushing yards were also okay, but the defense had trouble stopping the Cowboys’ passing game at crucial moments.

Dallas Cowboys dominate from the 2nd quarter onwards

After the Chiefs went into the first quarter break with a 14-7 lead, the Cowboys really got going and pulled away to 31-21, with the Chiefs’ comeback coming too late. Dak Prescott impressed with 69 percent of his passes completed for 320 yards and two touchdowns, plus one interception. Javonte Williams was the best rusher with 59 yards, but Malik Davis provided the only rushing touchdown in addition to 47 yards. Through the air, CeeDee Lamb (112 yards, one touchdown) and George Pickens (88 yards) were virtually untouchable for the Chiefs’ normally strong defense. Williams also scored a receiving touchdown.

Dallas Cowboys the team of the moment after victory over Kansas City Chiefs: “We can do anything”

With a 6-6 record, every game is now crucial for the Chiefs. “We have to win every game from now on,” Mahomes announced. Next up: a home game against the Houston Texans. Dallas plays away against the Detroit Lions.

Joe Burrow makes successful comeback

In the late Thanksgiving game, Joe Burrow enjoyed a more than successful comeback with the Cincinnati Bengals. They beat the overwhelmed Baltimore Ravens 32-14.

Burrow impressed despite a plate in his shoe, throwing for 261 yards and two touchdowns. He was also sacked only once. Chase Brown was the best ball carrier with 78 rushing yards, plus 35 receiving yards. For the fifth time in a row, he broke the 100 scrimmage yards mark, the longest active streak in the NFL.

Ravens’ winning streak halted after another poor performance

The Ravens’ winning streak, on the other hand, came to an abrupt end. Against the statistically worst defense in the NFL, Lamar Jackson managed just over 50 percent of his passes for 246 yards and no touchdowns, but one interception and two fumbles. The Ravens lost the turnover battle 1-5. Derrick Henry provided 60 rushing yards and one touchdown on the ground, along with 44 receiving yards. Keaton Mitchell also had a rushing touchdown to celebrate.

Tight end Isaiah Likely was the most efficient through the air, with 95 receiving yards in his stat line, but no touchdowns and a fumble of his own.

The Bengals have thus prevented the premature end of their season for now and stand at 4-8, but their playoff participation depends on the results of other teams, should the Bengals win all of their remaining games. Next week, they travel to the Buffalo Bills. The Ravens suffered another defeat after five games and are now 6-6, meaning they are out of the top spot in the AFC North until Sunday. In Week 14, they face the Pittsburgh Steelers in an extremely important division matchup.
