For the New York Jets, the last game of the regular season was all about preventing an inglorious entry into NFL history. But even that failed.
The New York Jets’ horror season ends with an insane negative record. The Jets lost their last game of the regular season to the Buffalo Bills 8-35 and did not record a single interception – as in the 16 games before that. This makes the Jets the first team in NFL history to fail to intercept a single opponent’s pass in an entire season since statistics began being recorded in 1933.
New York Jets finish regular season in last place
It is also clear that the Jets no longer have a chance to erase the disgrace. After all, the franchise missed the playoffs (starting January 10) weeks ago.
With a record of 3-14, head coach Aaron Glenn’s team is in last place in the AFC East and will have to watch the postseason on TV. Only the Cardinals, Titans, and Raiders had fewer wins.
However, the fact that they actually finished the entire season without an interception definitely shows a lack of resistance to their poor record. Especially when it comes to defense, there is a lot for the Jets to analyze.
