According to the report, defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr. was arrested on Monday night. He can be released on bail of 10,000 US dollars. The second-round pick is accused of domestic violence and is due in court in early September.

Hall Jr. is said to have become violent towards his fiancée and physical altercations are alleged to have taken place. Hall Jr. is also accused of threatening her with a weapon.

Browns issue statement on Hall Jr.

The Cleveland Browns have already released a statement regarding the incident, “We have been made aware of the incident involving Mike Hall Jr. last night. Mike and his representatives have contacted the appropriate authorities. We are in the process of gathering further information and will have no further comment at this time.”

Hall Jr. was selected 54th overall in the NFL Draft, he played college for the Ohio State Buckeyes. He was considered one of the top prospects in the class during the draft process – some experts compared his style of play to Aaron Donald.
