NFL – Los Angeles Chargers: Joey Bosa would love to play with brother Nick

Joey Bosa, outside linebacker for the Los Angeles Chargers, has stated in a media session that he would love to play with his brother Nick. He also commented on his salary cut.

Joey Bosa is already entering his ninth NFL season with the Los Angeles Chargers, while his brother Nick will play his sixth season in 2024.

However, the two have never played in the same team before. While Joey has always played for the Chargers, his younger brother developed into one of the best defensive ends in the league with the San Francisco 49ers.

For the future, however, Joey does not want to rule out the possibility of both being under contract with the same team at the same time. “It would be cool at some point,” the older Bosa brother is quoted as saying by “ESPN”. There have also already been talks between the siblings, although they are said not to have been of a serious nature.

Nevertheless, an end to his career in California is also conceivable. “I’ve always envisioned playing here and retiring here, which I don’t think many teams do, and I think that would be a cool thing, but you never know. I’m going to think about this year first,” Bosa continued.

Los Angeles Chargers: Joey Bosa also took a pay cut because of Khalil Mack

In order to stay with the Chargers, Bosa recently took a pay cut. Previously, he was considered a possible trade or cut candidate because Los Angeles had huge cap space issues.

“I want to win. I want to be on this team. I want to have another chance with the guys in this room. Especially with Khalil. And winning football games is more important to me right now than making a little more money,” Bosa explained his decision not to play.

The 28-year-old and his colleagues kick off the regular season on September 8. The home game against the division rival from Las Vegas is then on the agenda.
