Pro football player Lonnie Phelps has gotten himself into a lot of trouble with a car accident. The defensive end from NFL club Cleveland Browns crashed his SUV into a restaurant in Key West/Florida, the damage caused by the American is reportedly 300,000 dollars

Phelps is said to have been intoxicated at the time of the incident, Cleveland.com reports, citing the police report.

Phelps faces charges of DUI and criminal damage to property.

The 23-year-old was taken into custody after refusing to cooperate with police officers.

The NFL pro drove his car into the Red Shoe Island Bistro.

Phelps signed with the Browns in May 2023 and was a member of the practice squad last season. Phelps is still waiting for his debut in the US league
