NFL: Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry lead Baltimore Ravens to victory against Cleveland Browns in the AFC North

The Baltimore Ravens beat the Cleveland Browns comfortably to secure a home game in the Wildcard Playoffs. The only concern is the injury to a receiver.

The Baltimore Ravens defeated the Cleveland Browns 35-10 to win the AFC North division and the third seed in the AFC – meaning superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson’s team will have home field advantage in the NFL’s wild card playoffs.

Jackson led the Ravens to a comfortable win in the final game of the regular season, their twelfth of the season. The MVP contender threw for 217 yards and two touchdowns, and did not throw an interception.

Jackson added 63 rushing yards on the ground. Star running back Derrick Henry had 138 yards and two touchdowns.

The Browns started quarterback Bailey Zappe (170 passing yards, one touchdown, two interceptions), who committed a pick-six on the very first play of the game, which Ravens cornerback Nate Wiggins carried into the end zone.

Dustin Hopkins scores with field goal

In the second quarter, tight end Mark Andrews caught a 12-yard pass from Jackson, and kicker Justin Tucker scored the extra point after both touchdowns.

Browns kicker Dustin Hopkins got his team on the scoreboard with a field goal, and the Ravens went into the break with a 14-3 lead.

At halftime, no one really believed that the Browns (3-14) could turn the game around in Baltimore. And so, after the break, both teams took it easy at first.

Zappe and Akins with cosmetic results

Ravens receiver Rashod Bateman finally snatched another touchdown pass from Jackson to extend the lead to 21-3. The Browns, hoping for a good pick in the 2025 draft, put quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson in at some snaps.

Nevertheless, it was Zappe who threw the Browns’ only touchdown in the final quarter, tight end Jordan Akins caught the 16-yard pass.

The Ravens then picked up the pace again, Henry ran for two touchdowns, giving himself a nice birthday present.

Ravens worry about Zay Flowers

However, there was also a downside for the Ravens. Wide receiver Zay Flowers injured his knee in the first half and was unable to return to the field. It remains to be seen in the coming days what the injury means in terms of the playoffs.

The Browns lost defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr. and running back John Kelly Jr., both of whom also had to leave the field.
