NFL: Kansas City Chiefs – Scandal receiver Rashee Rice joins practice

Wide receiver Rashee Rice joins the Kansas City Chiefs team practice. This is according to media reports. Last year’s rookie has written many negative headlines in recent months

The Kansas City Chiefs continue to plan with wide receiver Rashee Rice, at least for the time being.

According to consistent media reports, the 24-year-old will participate in team workouts without restrictions during OTAs.

Last year’s second-round pick has made several negative headlines off the field in recent months.

As a result of a multi-vehicle accident that occurred in Dallas in March, Rice was charged with multiple felonies. The 24-year-old is also under investigation for allegedly assaulting a photographer at a nightclub earlier this month.

Chiefs: How important is Rice to the offense?

After his strong rookie season, Rice was supposed to play a major role in the Chiefs’ offense in the upcoming season.

With 26 catches, he set an NFL record for rookie receptions in the postseason. In the 2024 NFL Draft, the Chiefs selected wide receiver Xavier Worthy in the first round and signed Marquise Brown in free agency.

It is currently unclear what disciplinary measures the NFL will decide to take in the Rice case. A suspension for several games is not unrealistic
