The Indianapolis Colts welcome a new quarterback to their roster. Brett Rypien joins as a replacement for the injured Anthony Richardson.
The Indianapolis Colts have signed a new quarterback. Of course, he won’t be starting, as Daniel Jones is currently indispensable in that position.
The NFL franchise has responded to the injury of backup Anthony Richardson by signing Brett Rypien. He will initially be part of the practice squad.

Richardson broke his eye socket bone in an accident with a training band before the game last Sunday.
In addition to Jones and Rypien, rookie Riley Leonard is the third quarterback on the roster. This year’s sixth-round pick is currently the first backup.

Newcomer Rypien was most recently part of the Cincinnati Bengals, but was released by the franchise as part of the Browns’ trade for Joe Flacco.
In his six-year NFL career, the 29-year-old has started four games for the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Rams. He threw four touchdown passes and nine interceptions.
